Miami in November celebrates several exciting festivals and holidays: the Coconut Grove Bed Races, the Miami Book Fair, a weekend of NASCAR racing and for the first time, the Miami Beach Jazz Festival debuts at the Fillmore. Josh Groban and Michael Bublé are in town, Book of Mormon opens at the Broward Center for the Performing Arts and the Dolphins and the Heat are well underway in their regular seasons.
The Great Grove Bed Race © is a hysterically fun 30 year-old tradition, what is it you wonder? Like the name says, it's bed races, teams of five competing at breakneck speed through the streets of Coconut Grove on their very own home-made beds.
And there's tons of fun to be had besides the races, family pajama parties, a pit row parade, and the Awards at the end of the day.
